Visit the miniature replica of the log cabin that Lincoln grew up in and hear a talk about Lincoln's boyhood. Create your own miniature rough-hewn log bench just like the ones in the Lincoln's family home.

Take a spin aroun the marble gallery and make an abstract painting using marbles. Take home your own work of art along with a marble run and a set of marbles.

The Museum's first artist-in-residence is Lee-Ann Chellis Wessel, who specializes in porcelain, pottery, and egg tempera paintings from the Italian Renaissance. During her week in residence Lee-Ann will create a studio in the fine-scale miniature gallery so that Toy and Miniature Museum visitors can watch her work. She will also give gallery talks and teach a course at the Kansas City Art Institute. The week will culminate with a public lecture about her work and an exhibit of student's work from the Art Institute.

Attend a galelry talk in the French Miniature Gallery and learn how cabinetmakers in 18th century France wowed the king. Make your own version of Louis XV's desk out of cardstock in the workshop.
